We are members of the National Garden Clubs Inc and can benefit from the online schools for environmental, gardening, landscape design and flower shows plus many informative articles.

We are members of the Federated Garden Clubs of Connecticut Inc. Great for Education and Events including local field trips.

Based in Massachusetts, the Native Plant Trust website is a wealth of information on identifying (GoBotany) native plants. They run educational events and Garden in the Woods is well worth a visit.

The National Wildlife Federation has a (Plant Finder) of native plants by zip code and gives details of how many wildlife species each plant supports.

The Garden Conservancy has educational events, online resources and a calendar of open garden days in our area. Membership is $50 for the year.

The UConn Extension Master Gardener Program started in 1978 and consists of horticulture training and an outreach component that focuses on the community. It runs from January-September each year and the application period opens in mid-August of the prior year.

The UConn Extension Service offers soil testing. This service helps you determine what you need to optimize plant performance in your yard.
